We’re in the medals!

In the last week we have been awarded 3 Silvers and a Bronze in the World’s biggest industry awards – the World Drinks Awards and the International Wine and Spirit Competition. 

The World Drinks Awards select the very best gins and vodkas in the internationally recognised styles and promote the world’s best to consumers and trade across the globe. The IWSC’s Gin Awards is their biggest and most diverse awards category, with thousands of entries coming in from all around the world. 

Our fresh, coastal Brancaster Gin (which we launched only 18 months ago) won Silver in both awards with The World Gin Awards judging panel praising Brancaster Gin for its concentrated and complex aroma. “On the palate, it is lovely and dry, showcasing good acidity. The finish is long, featuring hints of lemon pith, which adds to its overall appeal. This is a well-crafted example of gin, demonstrating balance and depth.”

The IWSC panel commented “Delicate citrus and spiced juniper greet the senses, leading to a sweet, herbal journey on the palate. This satisfying experience culminates in a warm, delightfully floral finish.”

Brancaster Vodka (created last summer and made with wheat grown in the fields above the village and Brancaster Honey) picked up Silver too in the World Vodka Awards and a Bronze in the IWSC2025 with some very complex tasting notes: “A floral nose with a light sweetness complemented by malt and green, vegetal aromas. The palate reveals notes of violets and honeysuckle, evolving into a candied finish that highlights citrus notes. The herbaceous body is highlighted by peppermint, white pepper, and cumin, whilst a soft aniseed finish adds complexity, resulting in a smooth and intriguing experience.” We just say that it is smooth with a nutty sweetness!
