SS Vina Brancaster Navy Strength Gin has launched

Wow – what a summer we’ve had up on the North Norfolk Coast and it looks as though we’ve got some more sunny days to look forward to.

There’s another reason to celebrate and that’s the launch of our new Brancaster Navy Strength Gin – a wonderfully powerful expression of the award-winning Brancaster Gin. We’ve created a very small Special Edition batch of 300 bottles and dedicated the new spirit to the SS Vina.

Originally a coast-hugging cargo ship, the SS Vina was anchored off the Brancaster coast in 1943 and used by RAF pilots for target practice. Eventually, she sank into the sea off the end of Scolt Head Island. There she remains, visible above the rising and falling tides – an iconic feature of the shifting sands and the endless horizon on Brancaster beach.

The label for this Special Edition has been provided by our good friend, Harry Cory Wright, and has been taken from Harry’s masterful collection of drawings, ‘The Island’.
