Gimlet

The Gimlet is perhaps the most well-known of all the naval cocktails, with the ships of the Royal Navy required to carry lime juice since 1867 (a defence against scurvy).
While lime cordial improved the flavour of the water on the ships it was certainly improved further by the addition of a Navy Strength Gin and so the Gimlet was born.
Zesty. delicious (and prevents scurvy!)
